Janine Ryan

Janine is a supportive and inspirational teacher who cares deeply about the welfare of her students and colleagues. In her role as a Learning Enhancement teacher Janine constantly seeks alternative ways to engage and support her students who have diversely different needs. She participates in parent meetings, providing valuable insights into how we support and provide adjustments to improve the learning outcomes for students, and assisted parents in understanding how they can best support their child. In addition, Janine has provided me with suggestions on how the curriculum and assessments, in the classroom, could be adjusted to better meet the needs of students with learning differences. During staff workshops, she has presented valuable information on how to apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) so that all students are included in accessing the curriculum.”

Janine has supported our child, Abi for over 12 months, helping her to achieve learning success. Abi had difficulties in English, and with the guidance, teaching style, patience and understanding of Janine we have seen our little girl flourish this year, into a confident, capable individual. With a holistic approach, Janine has been able to focus on Abi’s strengths while employing learning techniques to enhance her ability to cope and complete English studies. This has built Abi’s self-confidence and has gotten Abi to a stage where she now enjoys this subject. Janine was a pillar of strength at times and encouraged us to remain vigilant, advocating Abi’s needs with teachers and school staff. We would recommend and endorse Janine and her methods, she is a great person and genuinely cares.

I have known Janine for 3 years in her role as a Learning Enhancement Teacher.
She has worked with my child, Sabrina providing support through intervention programs as well as support to me, as a parent, in guiding me and showing me how to best help my child with her specific needs.
Janine has supported my child, Sabrina to achieve learning success in reading skills for the last 3 years through her involvement in providing Cracking the ABC Code, reading support, and by advocating for my child's needs in school meetings with teachers and with other people who have been involved in supporting Sabrina, I have found Janine to be very caring and helpful with her group of children when I attended some of Sabrina's special needs classes and am very grateful that Sabrina has been further assisted by Janine.

Janine makes learning fun and is very skilled at engaging her students. My son airways felt comfortable and enjoyed going which is the first challenge.
